Renate & Klaus Kobjoll

The milestones

Klaus Kobjoll was born in Bamberg on 13 June 1948

In 1973 he married Renate ... "the best thing that ever happened to me"

In 1974, their daughter Nicole was born

Education, first with four years of primary school and then six years high school in Bamberg ... "wasn’t really my thing".

Specialist training at the D. Speiser hotel school in Tegernsee/Bad Wiessee and the Lycée Technique Hotelier in Strasbourg/France.

Then his career got under way, with the compulsory practical training during and after hotel school, in France and England; one year period as a trainee.

Finally, at the age of 22, an independent entrepreneur with a proudly saved 5,000 marks seed money. His own business concepts and openings followed, in Erlangen(E) and Nuremberg (N)

1984 Landhotel Schindlerhof (N) - 37 rooms – seating for approx. 200 in various restaurant and banqueting rooms, plus garden
1990 Kreativzentrum Schindlerhof - with a further 34 rooms and 3 unique conference rooms totalling 200 m²
1998 Schindlerhof - new corporate design for the change from Landhotel Schindlerhof to the new Schindlerhof brand with its three profit centres: restaurant & banqueting, creative conferences, hotel.
Investments in ambience, cutlery, premises and in brand development, logos, new language and up-to-date communications
1999 DenkArt - an additional 800 m², of which 400 m² for four conference rooms and a 120 m² bistro, plus the "Werdegang" hallway for corporate presentations and regularly changing art exhibitions.
2000 Ryokan - 24 further hotel rooms directly overlooking the Japanese garden

Lecturer in marketing at the chair of Prof. B. Schott, Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences

Glow & Tingle GmbH "Enthusiasm can be communicated" is the business sector for presentations, seminars and publications on the subject of TQM (Total Quality Management) and "Communicating performance euphoria" (there’s no substitute for enthusiasm !!!) for small and medium-sized companies and concerns. So far, over 150,000 people from all sectors have participated in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Portugal, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Spain, Greece, Ireland and the U.K.

Hobbies

My work – for I only do things that I enjoy; the rest is delegated. Horses and classic English cars are ideal for relaxation, enjoyment and sparking off new ideas.
