The 24 rooms in Japanese Ryokan style are directly beside the Japanese garden and were built in 2000. The building itself is in Bauhaus design. All the rooms have a wonderful view of the garden, each with its own perspective. The rooms in this area all feature warm minimalism. Unlike the other rooms, they also have:

• art from students at Nuremberg’s Academy of Visual Arts
• tea-making facilities
• a kimono
• a safe (laptop size)

The vine is one of the oldest plants on Earth. Discoveries have shown that several types of wild grape already existed 130 million years ago. So the story of the vine and the grape has been a fascinating subject since time immemorial. There are ten rooms in the wine house:
four Tuscan wine rooms,
four Franconian wine rooms and
two French wine rooms.

The rooms are furnished in the country-house style of each region and have been lovingly decorated. Large prints show the wonderful landscapes and help guests to savour the region.

These theme rooms also feature selected details, such as matching literature and music.

In each room, a small selection of red wine from the region is provided, and …

… to round off the evening, guests can also order matching sorts of cheese, made from unpasteurized milk, to go with a glass of red wine.

That makes your stay, whether alone or with a partner, into a holiday evening for all the oenophiles among us.

So we have fetched down the stars into your room: the night sky is right above you and the remote controls let you display the constellations in the dark above your bed, from Virgo to the plough.
There is also a full-size telescope available for star-watching when the sky is clear ...
