history

The Schindlerhof was founded in 1984 by Renate and Klaus Kobjoll and has been at the heart of the Kobjoll family ever since. With daughter Nicole Kobjoll at the helm, the second generation is now running the business, supported by the founders, who continue to contribute their experience and passion.

Klaus Kobjoll, born in Bamberg in 1948, began his career with a solid education at the D. Speiser hotel management school and the Lycée Technique Hôtelier in Strasbourg. At the age of 22, he ventured into self-employment - with only DM 5,000 in start-up capital. Together with Renate Kobjoll, whom he married in 1974, he developed the Schindlerhof into one of the most innovative hotels in Germany.

In addition to his work at Schindlerhof, Klaus Kobjoll now devotes himself to his second company, Glow & Tingle, and inspires as a speaker with lectures and seminars on topics such as customer and employee orientation, total quality management and "enthusiasm is transferable". With over 150,000 participants in Germany and internationally, he has proven his expertise in industry diversity and practical relevance.

Nicole Kobjoll continues to run the Schindlerhof with fresh ideas and the same passion that has characterized the family business for decades. The Schindlerhof remains a place that stands for warmth, innovation and the highest quality standards.
